How to Install to Cursor
AMZScout AI combines two components:

4. YOUR_AMZSCOUT_API_KEY can be found in the email you received after your purchase. Replace YOUR_AMZSCOUT_API_KEY with your actual AMZScout API key (keep the word Bearer and the space before the key).
5. Save the file (Ctrl+S).
Cursor should automatically pick up the changes and attempt to connect.
Check the connection status:
Ask your AI (AI agent):
How many AMZScout tokens do I have left?
If your remaining token balance is displayed, the connection is working correctly.
You can also try questions like:

Once the AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) is installed, your AI (AI agent) in Cursor can access live Amazon marketplace data and provide Amazon product research, competitor analysis, keyword research, and other insights directly within your conversations.

Before You Start
You'll need:
- Cursor desktop app installed.
- A paid AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) plan.
- A personal API key (Bearer token) from AMZScout.
Step 1. Connect MCP
- Download the Cursor desktop app and open it.
- Go to Settings → Tools & MCP → Home MCP Servers → New MCP Server (or open the MCP configuration file directly, e.g.
~/.cursor/mcp.json
or a project-level MCP config file).

- an indicator may appear at the top of the config file itself, or
- go to Settings → Tools & MCP → Home MCP Servers - the AMZScout server should appear there with a green dot (connected status).
Step 2. Verify the Installation
Ask your AI (AI agent):
How many AMZScout tokens do I have left?
If your remaining token balance is displayed, the connection is working correctly.
You can also try questions like:
- Find profitable Amazon products.
- Analyze this niche.
- Find competitors for this ASIN.
- Suggest product opportunities with low competition.
- Perform keyword research for this product.
Troubleshooting
If AMZScout doesn't connect:
- Restart Cursor.
- Verify that you entered the connector URL exactly as shown.
- Make sure your key is correct and the Bearer prefix is intact.
- Confirm that your AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) plan is active.
- Check that the JSON in the config file is valid (no trailing commas, brackets properly closed).
You're Ready
Once the AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) is installed, your AI (AI agent) in Cursor can access live Amazon marketplace data and provide Amazon product research, competitor analysis, keyword research, and other insights directly within your conversations.
