How to Install to AI Agent
AMZScout AI combines two components:

7. Go back to the Connections list - next to AMZScout, the Type column should show MCP, and the Status column should show Connected.
The number next to the name (e.g. "AMZScout (12)") shows how many MCP tools are available — these are the amzscout_* tools and amzscout-agent.

If your remaining token balance is displayed, the connection is working correctly.

Before You Start
You'll need:
- A paid AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) plan.
- Your personal AMZScout API key (from the email you received after purchase).
- CrewAI.
Step 1. Connect MCP
- Open CrewAI and sign-in.
- In the left menu, open Tools & Integrations.
- Go to the Connections tab.
- Click + Add Connection in the top right corner
- In the Edit MCP Server form that appears, fill in the fields:

7. Go back to the Connections list - next to AMZScout, the Type column should show MCP, and the Status column should show Connected.

Step 2. Attach the Connection to an Agent
- Open the relevant agent in Agents Repository, or create a new one in Crew Studio.
- In the agent's tool settings, enable the AMZScout connection (it will appear as an MCP tool).
- Save the agent.
Step 3. Verify the Installation
Ask your AI (AI agent):
How many AMZScout tokens do I have left?
If your remaining token balance is displayed, the connection is working correctly.
You can also try questions like:
- Find profitable Amazon products.
- Analyze this niche.
- Find competitors for this ASIN.
- Suggest product opportunities with low competition.
- Perform keyword research for this product.
Troubleshooting
- The Connections list should show status Connected, not Not Configured - if the status doesn't change, double-check the Server URL and API key for typos.
- Make sure the header is named exactly X-API-KEY, not Authorization/Bearer - CrewAI sends the key as-is under the Header Name you specify.
- Confirm your AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) plan is active.
- If the MCP is connected but the agent doesn't see the tools, check that the Connection has been explicitly added to that specific agent's settings - in CrewAI, an org-level connection isn't automatically attached to every agent.

Once the MCP connector is installed, your AI agent can access live Amazon marketplace data and provide Amazon product research, competitor analysis, keyword research, and other insights directly within your conversations.
