How to Install to Claude
AMZScout AI combines two components:
  • AMZScout MCP - securely connects your AI (AI agent) to live Amazon marketplace data.
  • AMZScout Skill - provides instructions that help your AI understand how to use AMZScout tools more effectively and generate higher-quality Amazon research.
Just install the MCP connector - the Skill comes with it automatically.

Before You Start


You'll need:
  • A paid AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) plan.
  • Claude.
No API keys or manual configuration are required.

Step 1. Connect MCP


  1. Open Claude (desktop app or claude.ai).
  2. Click "Customize" in the left sidebar or click your profile in the lower-left corner and open Settings.
  3. Open Connectors.
  4. Click Add Custom Connector.
  5. In the "Name" field, enter: AMZScout
  6. In the "Remote MCP Server URL" field, enter: https://chatbot.amzscout.net/mcp
  7. Click Connect.
  8. In the AMZScout login window, sign in using the email address associated with your AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) paid plan.
  9. Click Allow to authorize the connection.
Once connected, a Tools icon will appear inside Claude.

Step 2. Verify the Installation


Ask your AI (AI agent):
How many AMZScout tokens do I have left?

If your remaining token balance is displayed, the connection is working correctly.

You can also try questions like:
  • Find profitable Amazon products.
  • Analyze this niche.
  • Find competitors for this ASIN.
  • Suggest product opportunities with low competition.
  • Perform keyword research for this product.

Later, start any prompt with "Use the amzscout-agent..." to get more accurate, data-driven answers from AMZScout.

Troubleshooting


If AMZScout doesn't connect:
  1. Restart Claude.
  2. Verify that you entered the connector URL exactly as shown.
  3. Make sure you're signed in to the correct AMZScout account.
  4. Confirm that your AMZScout AI (Skill + MCP) plan is active.

You're Ready


Once the MCP connector and Skill are installed, your AI (AI agent) can access live Amazon marketplace data and provide Amazon product research, competitor analysis, keyword research, and other insights directly within your conversations.
